I really love that they sorta made it seem like Vex was going to need Vax and that she was the one that needed his protection just to do a full turn and reveal that Vax was the one that needed her.

,,Do not go far from me" the one line that describes the twins' relaence on each other... And how when they lose the other their world crumbles. They would sacrifice anything and everything to make sure the other is safe. (Mainly Vax for Vex)

Oh Elijah... It IS a fun show. There are just times when it isn't as lighthearted as one would want their ,,fun show" to be... Just like Arcane.

As a fan of both shows I’m loving how tlovm has been an emotional wild ride from the start meanwhile RWBY which Elijah has described as “happy go lucky” is now waking up like a sleeper agent at the perfect time to prove that it can also be just as much of an emotional whirlwind 😂 this has been the day we’ve waited for indeeeed

I considered this one to be the one where he should have won all of the voice acting awards. There's an episode in Season 3 that might as well be subtitled "Laura Bailey's Award Reel" as well

The joy of D&D: you don't got plot armor, the dice decide who lives and dies. In campaign, Laura/Vex rolled a critical one on this.

It's all fun and games until someone rolls a natural one.
I bet Mosco got quite the phone call after this episode.
Elijah:"BABE YOU SAID THIS WAS A FUN SHOW! BABE! BABE WHAT THE FUCK?"
Mosco: (Mischievious laughter)

Yep, this was a doozy to watch in the campaign. Taliesin (Percy's player) decided to interact with the armor in an uncharacteristic moment of thoughtlessness and ended up triggering the trap that dealt a crapton of necrotic damage to himself, Vex, and Trinket. Fortunately, Percy and Trinket were able to take it, but Vex's health ended up dropping below 0 which, due to the nature of the trap, killed her instantly. It was a tragic moment, but I will say that the look of realization on Laura Bailey's face was kind of priceless

Exactly. I'm new to DnD (A past half a year-ish starting with CR - Campaign 2), but one thing I learnt very quickly is that it can be (and will be) serious and high-stakes in a second. Especially with Matt as the DM. At the end of the day there is only one certainty: The dice makes the story happen.

It's based off a D&D game! While they do take some liberties for the sake of storytelling, they also still remain faithful to what happened in their game.
That means none of them are ever safe, in any situation!!! Something to keep in mind!

Same. I saw a video as I was scrolling on Youtube (just the thumbnail) and at the moment I thought it was a flashback (a fake-out) so when I got to this episode my jaw dropped by that ending. No joke I literally just sat in silence for a good 15-20 minutes on my bed before watching the next episode.

Yes, this is what I've most been waiting for you to get to! This whole arc is a wild emotional rollercoaster that does not stop! Can't wait for you to react to Liam's (Vax) voice work at the start of next episode. So much raw pain to come.

Yeaaaahhhh this episode was a doozy when I first watched. TLOVMs first 2 seasons were my intro into CR and I'd heard inklings of something happening to Vex but nothing in detail. So this hit me like a million bricks and I was sobbing for a good while 🥲

This episode is one of the many reasons why I disliked many of the changes done between the actual campaign and the show, in the actual campaign Zahra and Kashaw were friends with Vox Machina way before this part of the story and traveled with them to the underwater temple and helped them with the fights with enemies whereas in the show Zahra and Kashaw followed them and had their own agendas.

1. Thordak is immensely powerful compared to the other dragons, so they're not going to try and funny business with him.
2. Though not specified, I think there was considerable amount of time that happened between the end of season 1 and beginning of season 2. (Enough time for Percy to design and build a new gun and glove.
3. In D&D, Goliaths (Grogs race) are unable to grow facial hair, so it was a pretty big deal for Travis when he got the Belt of Dwarvenkind.
4. Vex and Vax's father calling them "diluted" is referring to the fact that they are half-elves, something greatly looked down upon where they were.
5. Grog getting half of his beard cut off is reference to a prank Vax did to him in the campaign. Travis was so mad he ended up breaking the mechanical pencil he was holding at the time. lol
6. Vex's death was very tragic in the campaign, but I think you'll enjoy Laura's new character. It's going to be a rough time for Vox Machina though, especially Vax. -_-

so I can't say if they did this in season one but in season 2 onward they release eps in batches of 3 so this was not just your typical cliffhanger for those who watched when it aired.. this is what it was left on for the next week... yeah its was a lot. Also, get ready for Vax's Crowning moment of AWESOME next episode

That’s what the female Sphinx means about the group that have inner demons to face in this show you saw that Vex what’s her father’s love so bad he won’t give to her and she needs to except that in move one and Vax he can survive on his own with out sister in that past memories she only left for an hour or two and you saw that he can’t be on his own but when time comes when she falls in love or something bad happens to her he has to let go or it will tear him apart.

Whoever made the decision for this episode to be mostly music-less until the very last scene has some serious kudos. The lack of orchestration in the background leaves the audience on edge the entire time because you can /feel/ something is about to go down! Then it comes back in full force to hit you with emotions and suddenly "oh damn, I'm crying"

So... Vex is ,,dead" dead. In the campaign Matt had a unique rule while they were inside the Tomb, which was if their Hit Point reached 0 they were dead... No saving throws just ,,yeah you're gone"... And Laura rolled low on that. Matt was like ,,Did that bring you below 0" a few seconds of processing what he just asked and than absolute SHOCK on everyones faces.
