Kids will cling to their parent even if they're the biggest pieces of shiiite in the world, bc they are biologivally wired to do so (for survival purposes). I understand the frustration about Claudia's deciscions, but that's simply the psychology behind a child-parent relationship. No matter if they're 3 or 18. It's great that Soren got away (he was also treated worse by Viren which could be a big factor in difference in deciscion making between the siblings) but you can't compare one kids' psychology to another. It simply doesn't work that way. Especially with knowing the fact that Claudia already had to say goodbye to her mom (making an active choice to stay with a specific parent, in this case the father) solidifying her loyalty to him. You might not understand, but it happens in real life all the time. With children whose parents are going through a divorce and arr forced to pick, or are fed lies by the other parent, or abused children who stay loyal to their abusive parent. I just need you to understand that bc it's a very normal, human thing that happens.

Cathy Breuer

Soren has come such a long way and I'm super proud of him. I also love that you've just been on an emotional rollercoaster through this show, and especially this episode lmao edit: OMG MOSCOE!? holy shit lmao was not expecting that from her

Bailey

MOSCO😭😂

Terrell

Okay, so now before starting the next season you really need to read the canon comic Over the Moon, otherwise one of the biggest plot points in the season is gonna make 0 sense. Keep in mind there is also a multi-year time skip.

strife54849 is informing you that the aliens have come for Samantha’s bananas. Hey that rhymed.

I KNOW RIGHT

Charis Bedderson

Or both?

Brett

Now that you've reached the end of this arc, there are some in-between stories/ graphic novels that you need to read. Without reading them i feel like the next season will be a little jarring as some main characters made huge decisions offscreen in the media. (If i may borrow from Mosco's fake spoiler bit) my favorite is soren leaving the crown guard to pursue his passion as a poet/baker 🤣

Ashley Sotelo

Same. When she brought out the confetti I was like ,,Oh, no baby... Not yet". Then laughed so hard after the ,,reviel" and her reaction to it.🤣

LikeCat

Yes, but, it's *cinematic* Not that a duel with spears can't be dramatic. I know a play that can reliably shatter the other player's shaft and leave you on line for the thrust. Yes, yes, I know. That's what she said 🙄

Ryan Porter

Mosco with he drive-by burn?!

TheMadDragon

heads up, season four was made from home during covid, and it shows. Some of my favorite individual moments from the entire show are in that season, but the rest can feel like a rough draft.

Kaykic

That's the beauty of stories like this you can understand but also be so frustrated with characters and their motivations it's not just black and white Cheers to Mosco for that joke 😂😅🤣😉

Catradora fan

If you notice when Claudia brings him back there is a soldiers foot sticking out from behind a rock behind her. It is heavily implied she sacrificed a soldier to bring him back.

Brett Bean

So Claudia said that, that the caterpillar cacooned itself 2 days ago... She said nothing about how long Viren was dead, but it couldn't have been much longer than that. 😉

LikeCat

Down, up and then rock bottom imo lmao

Bug Catcher Jacky

The shield wall was nice but should have really been combined with spears or other polearms. Almost all fantasy media are obsessed with swords and forget that they were never the primary weapons in a battle.

Bernhard

That's the cool thing about stuff like this. People can like something. Other people can not like something. What's awesome is they're both right!

Serinthia Kelberry

Nah, it never really recovers.

Eliteguard99

The premature celebration had me dying. I was like “you might want to dial back the excitement” and then… confetti. Also Mosco just popping in to drop a bomb and then retreat was amazing!

A Magic Duck

So, the 'WOW' password...is that for the show? Or for Mosco?

Serinthia Kelberry

I fucking love this episode, so much. It's a trope that any big infantry battle in Hollywood is just two masses running at each other and becoming one big melee. To see a battle with formations and tactics and changes of fortune? Bravo, bravo, bravissimo. It's right up there with the Battle of Helm's Deep, but at a fraction of the budget. I always say that you can't have a redemption arc until you hit rock bottom. And there are probably rocks at the bottom of the Storm Spire and Viren probably hit them. Hopefully all your screaming encourages Mosco to react to season three, even if only as a Patreon exclusive. We'll see if she also suffers from premature confetti. Fair warning, the animation and rendering style changes in season four; it's jarring if you're binging the whole series in a weekend.

Ryan Porter

Major heads up for this coming arc It spans four books and is WAY more slower-paced than Arc 1 which has led to mixed results. Some in the community think it's great that it takes it's time while others think it takes too much time and could've accomplished things in 2 or 3 books (which this arc was initially planned as). Obviously won't go into details as you should form your own opinion on the slower pacing and writing choices going forward but figured the heads-up was necessary since besides one specific book later on, the general consensus is that Book 3 is where the show peaked in quality.

Nektis Noir

More of a down, up, plateau.

Chris P3

Ok so now that you're watching Arc 2 (Books 4-7), I HIGHLY recommend reading each of the shows graphic novels in-between each book. They contain big character moments that really should've been in the show in some way. Through The Moon is especially important to make the transition into Book 4 way more natural.

Nektis Noir

I've been so excited for this reaction and it didn't disappoint! I love watching people's realization of the Viren illusion but the premature confetti throw was top tier 🤣 Very excited for you reaction to Arc 2 especially the first episode!!

Samy Walsh

Before you start the next arc, you may want to read Through The Moon. After that, there’s a short story called Dear Callum you can find on the Dragon Prince website.

Chris P3

The Dragon Prince has now peaked, it’s all downhill from here.

Eliteguard99

Wow Mosco wow 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

ItsSimmeRin

Okay, so if you look really closely in the background of the shot where Claudia is moving toward her father you can see the very bottom of a boot. It's pretty close to the center of the screen, a little to right, you might have to up your brightness to see it. It's heavily implied that Claudia killed another person to bring Viren back, just like with the deer to save Soren.

Moonlight Mariposa

I think in this case the handholding is about showing the queen the camaraderie between humans and elves, not a declaration of a romance that has already started, but... maybe a little bit it's also an excuse Amaya is using to hold her hand lol

Andy

Let's do the time jump again...

Serinthia Kelberry

No. Rayla and callum talked to each other about being together. That's a big difference.

Suplee215

And that's exactly as far as official canon couple Callum and Rayla are going in the same time and place.

Ryan

To be fair they just hold hands. Seems fair to be at that stage for what the 2 been through.

Suplee215

The Mysteries of Aaravos is up next, get ready for a lot of wtf moments... and for Terry, you are going to love Terry... also not a new body exactly but it's gonna be weird af

Christopher Malone

You can really tell that the crew had no idea if this would be the end of the show, and they had to walk this tightrope of giving the story enough closure just in case while still leaving doors open for more. The Kasef story especially suffers for this, as it just feels bizarre that Viren's lying to him gets zero payoff and he just becomes a mindless monster for the last couple episodes, before being killed by a minor character having never found out who was really responsible for his father's death. Luckily, they did get more and the upcoming four seasons were able to have much more confident pacing.

Ryan

I was 100% expecting those exact reactions over the Viren fakeouts! Fun fact, if you pause during a wideshot of Claudia and Viren in the cave, there is a foot/boot obscured by a rock in the background (tbf that person mightn't have had anything to do with the ritual but it's fun to theorise) For Eljah, as a heads up before you begin Arc 2 of TDP, I personally recommend watching through each episode's intro for...important reasons

Oooh boy here we go
