So excited for so many things happening in both the season finale and the fillowing season. I'm truly excited for you seeing these episodes for the first time!

I think Pomni is good at helping others is because she's going through similar things. While Cain tries to help, he can't because he isn't human so he can't understand them.

Hi Elijah I just learned ragatha Mentioning tea parties an Dance lessons aren't hints to lore There references to raggedy andy

Oscar_Pines_Is_Bestboi

Well, yeah, my first watch through I instantly knew silver shamrock

Oscar_Pines_Is_Bestboi

Thank you he is and forever will be Stole the title for jaune but oscar is just a innocent farmer who has a crush on ruby and it's adorable rose garden forever

Oscar_Pines_Is_Bestboi

Thank you! Somebody else caught the Silver Shamrock reference.

Beautiful night sky, indeed. They did something very rare in entertainment these days, animated or otherwise. They used the actual star patterns that exist, as seen from Earth. Caught it immediately, because nothing is as gorgeous to me as the stars at night. Wonderful!

The hot dogs are $57.57. I definitely think there is some meaning behind this number.

A bit crass, but women's sports in a show or story used to be a writer's/creator's insinuation of lesbianism. Two of the more common sports used this way were field hockey and softball... which we see Ragatha teaching Gangle at the start of this episode. I do think RagaPom / ButtonBlossom is a cute ship and I fully endorse it, but I think we got a bit of Gangle's crush here as well. We see a doodle of Ragatha, presumably drawn by Gangle, as Jax threatened to reveal other crafts of her that were in Gangle's possession. That Gangle says she loves Ragatha, but can't tell when she's being genuine tells me she might have feelings for Ragatha, but realizes Ragatha isn't reciprocating. Zooble offering Gangle the mask in the first place may have been an allusion to a new med or a new outlook. That Gangle said it feels "normal". But we see in the end it didn't work, but Zooble is willing to help her try again. And until then, they want Gangle to feel accepted and loved as part of the group I am the Eeyore of my friend group. Low energy, depressive, typically low key. I've worked a variety of food service jobs, but my time at Five Guys stands out in this case. The job required we all be energetic, chipper, and positive. I am none of that, but I faked the fuck out of it to earn that pay and get those bonuses. So Gangle's allegory of putting on a mask really hit home for me in this episode. And props to the crew for really capturing the stark bleakness of a closing shift at one of these establishments. From the clinical silence to the "fuck my life" collapse you feel at the end of the shift.

I've already thought that Ragatha's constant positivity is something she's putting up more to try and force enthusiasm, keep her mind off of how trapped she is (as seen in her almost breakdown in the pilot), and buck up other people's spirits at the expense of having nobody to rely on herself. I actually applaud Gangle for the fact that she seems to think that it's not really fair to require her for constant emotional support.

Matthew Dunne

I don't think Ragatha wants any of the people she's with to flirt with her, I think she misses being around other people who would do so.

Matthew Dunne

It makes sense that this adventure is filled with recycled NPCs when Caine cobbled it together at the last minute.

Definitely hit a little too close to home with Gangle’s masks. We all have them to deal with life. 😭💜 I feel like this episode made us “shippers” give us some hope. Either fake or real. Also yeah, I am a PomniRagatha shipper and I’m glad you spoke up for us Elijah. 🤣

The number 57 was also on the license plate of the car outside right before the Orbsman scene (the bubbly guy with garbled speech who ordered a number 57)

NatMcK7

I think the glitch crew is just teasing us with the flirting in the episodes. There are a lot of people shipping characters.

Connie Clemons

Ragatha talking about packages falling on her head, tea parties and dancing lessons is a reference to the animated Raggedy Ann and Andy movie, which this show took a lot of inspiration from.

One thing that I just though about is when Jax said ,,I like you better when you are sad" wasn't just him being an a-hole towards Gangle (I mean he was, but it is Jax we're talking about), but him not wanting her hide behind a mask (quite literally) and the reason he always breaks her comedy-mask is to quite literally break down these walls she build up around herself (her being always happy/ creeping depression). But because it is Jax, she (and everyone in the circus) thinks it is just him bulling her for no reason, I mean it could be, but I don't know.

Next year may you please react to Trollhunters? (I'm only asking because it's a amazing show.)

Loved this episode and what it gave for every character even if it primarily focused on gangle(which I don't mind). I do kinda notice that almost everyone has a "mask" in this episode that comes off Gangle's is the most obvious of course being a mask for depression Ragatha being hit with the stupid sauce and while under the influence saying more negative things that she might feel deep down but doesn't wanna say(She even admits she hates Jax but doesn't want him to hate her which is interesting) also she says a raggedy ann reference which was nice Zooble kinda becomes a bit more soft and kinder around the others once they settle into the adventure, They didn't even swear once this episode (if I remember correctly they've sworn at least once in every appearance). Openly taking care of drunk ragatha and comforting Gangle at the end Jax also shows what happens when his mask falls, I am still not fully convinced of the whole rouge ai theory when he could just honestly be just a guy who was like this before(a dick) but since they can't die or be really hurt it comes out more rough here. But I do notice how after he goes through the retraining, he becomes less wacky and more just miserable, dropping the facade in making slight jabs or being sarcastic and just kinda walking around, something we and pomni notice given how normal his conversation was that he tried to start with pomni. He seems like he had been through a fast food experience like this before given how he acts(especially when he gets in the car cause I have done that same thing after a rough day). Add that on how he reacted to Kofmo's funeral, he does seem like he wants to open up in some situations and let his real emotions out but is so into seeing this place as just a game or a form of hell that he refuses too cause what's the point in his eyes? The only ones that don't really have a mask in this episode is Pomni and Caine(Unless you wanna count how awkward she was with gummigoo as a mask then go ahead) But they seemed normal with how they usually are outside of Caine glitching out at the end(wonder what that means). I do wonder whose office Caine's was modeled after or if he just made it himself(he is strictly an ai, maybe even the game itself, and wasn't a real person so it's interesting to see where he pulls stuff from when it comes to that) Anyway sorry I rambled so much, I just really got into this episode but can't wait to see more and your reactions to them as well!

Lightningplays

People ship Pomni with Ragatha and she's a doll, so your point would be?

Sekiro

YESSSSSS LORE Anyway yeah Jax is SUCH na unreptenatn asshole, I think in the beginning when he says he didn't mean to break Gangle's mask he meant it. If only he knew what the "normal" mask would turn Gangle into lmao

Alp

As far as I understand it, it's only their names everybody forgets. They still remember everything else from before, except for Kinger who just has memory issues for totally unrelated reasons

Andy

I think Ragatha tries to handle being trapped in the Circus by keeping everyone *else* happy and upbeat...so being cheerful all the time is sorta *her* mask, and she tries not to let her actual feelings out. Except apparently when under the effects of Stupid Sauce.

David Johnson

Heck yeah, Gangle episode. She's been pretty shy and in the background so it's nice seeing her get the spotlight, even if it's her being absolutely terrifying. Also I want what Ragatha had, she's so out of it and it looks fun lmao. Also it's interesting that despite not remembering who they were before, they get flashes of their lives from before

Bailey

Truck-kun made it to the Digital Circus omg

John Bossert

in April it will be my 18th year of working in the family restaurant business so I understand the pure frustration of it all

John Bossert

Okay I love when zooble is dropped You can hear the honk from the original willy wonka when the girl got dropped down the bad egg shoot and I love that When Jax is shown the TV an it's flashing the mask It very much sounds lthe beginning of the Silver Shamrock song from Halloween three spirit of the witch

Oscar_Pines_Is_Bestboi

lol poor Ragatha basically has to be drunk to say any mildly negative thought she's ever had aloud, and Gangle commenting that it's hard to tell when she's being sincere or forcing herself? Oof. That sounds painfully familiar
