We're almost done with vol 2, so looking forward to your reaction to vol 3, all I'll say regarding that volume is that you are not ready for what is coming, something that the characters will experience for themselves as well

Don't watch them all in one sitting if you haven't seen the whole show. Best spot to watch the opening for the first time is the end of episode one of the season it corresponds to.

Play the video and set the quality first, when the video restarts, right-click and press save video as. I've pirated a lot of shows from there without problems (don't tell anyone)

In the early seasons especially it’s easy to write off the conflict as that of a typical monster anime. This world is just like ours, except there are monsters that young girls fight with cartoonishly large weapons….and yeah it totally is. 😂 But in these episodes, we get a peak behind the curtain. We get to see what living in a world infested with Monsters whose sole purpose is to kill and destroy does to the human psyche. What it means to be one of the few that can fight back, that the average person relies on to keep them safe, always, even at the very possible cost of your own life. “I am a Huntsman, Ruby, because there is nothing else in this world I would rather be…” That’s actually a somewhat tragic line in a way. Despite being a gifted educator, for Dr. Oobleck there’s nothing else in this world that’s worth doing so long as humans continue to live under the constant threat of extermination…..

And it doesn't help that the first 3 volumes were animated in Poser (a program used primarily for dance animations) simply cause Monty preferred it over Maya for his fight animations, so the team had to employ workarounds for that too lol

2024-12-09 15:55:03 +0000 UTCIf the intros were not cut out of the episodes, the full intro would play after episode 1 then afterwards a shortened version would play each episode. I would suggest that each time you start a new volume, after episode 1, react to the intro then continue on with the downloaded episode reactions. That way you are still getting the intended experience of the intros. Please go back and react to volume 1 and 2's intros. We are not kidding when we say they are amazing. It's a lot like reacting to the trailers you did at the beginning.

It could be a restriction of the animation software they're using... If someone has better information on this than me, please let me know!

Fun fact, we've already seen Blake using her Semblance. Rewatch any of her fights and whenever you see an after image of her as she jumps or moves out if the way of attacks and that's it.

Makes for a hell of a parallel once they can fully answer it and Ruby is finally asked too.
