I assume it’s been pointed out but the loss of Cait’s eye doesn’t hurt her too much as a sniper. She still has the eye she shoots with. Some people even wear an eye patch or cover the shooting glass’s off eye with something opaque.

It would have been worse if she had died for real. Ekko just talked her out of killing herself, only for her to kill herself anyway by the end. With this ending she kills the idea of Jinx, which is what she's been trying to do all season. Like in episode 4 when she says "Jinx is dead".

Caitlyn can still shoot. Although her depth perception will be different, her dominant eye (which she uses for sniping) is still working. Some snipers in real life can still shoot properly with one dominant eye. It may take some time to adjust but it is possible. And yes, I'm 99.99% sure that Jinx is still alive. There are many hints towards the end: 1.) Shimmer trail going to the vents when Jinx and Warwick exploded 2.) Caitlyn studying the Hexgates blueprint and finding out that there are vents where Jinx exploded all while she's holding on the Jinx's monkey bomb (also possibly hinting they didn't find her dead body) 3.) The glitching "The End" text effect. There are also theories that she rode the flying airship in the end which is also a callback to what she said in S1 Ep1 that she's going to ride one of those things someday Since Riot announced that there will be new shows in other regions of Runeterra, I'm not surprised if Jinx will pop up in one of these shows :)

You don't need your other eye to look down sights when sniping. Sure she'll lose some peripheral vision and some depth perception. But Caitlyn should be able to still snipe.

I want to share my take on caitlyn losing her eye. As devastating as it is, i think it’s essential to her redemption arc. I know there’s people who wish she said more but her actions speak tenfold in my opinion. She put her all into fighting ambessa and yes it seems like ambessa slashed her eye but caitlyn moves the blade and leans forward to make the sacrifice to get the runes off ambessa. She needed to fully put herself on the line for everyone for her redemption. I wouldn’t change a thing about it her and mel were the best parts of this finale.

While you were slowing down the jinx explosion scene, you actually paused on a streak of purple that exits the area of explosion before the actual explosion. I'm pretty sure that is jinx leaving a tracer of purple from her shimmer eyes like when she moves at super speed.

Of course any injury is going to take time to adjust to but like I (and some others) mentioned the eye she lost wasn’t her dominant one. It’s a thing even for folks who aren’t expert marksmen. It’s kinda neat to see how it works once you figure out which eye is your dominant one

I'm slightly disappointed Jinx is heavily hinted to be alive, takes a bit away from the beautiful moment where she sacrifices herself to save Vi, and chooses to let everything behind through death, finally at peace. Didn't interpret the thing about Jinx being on the airship, but I guess it'd make sense, going somewhere far away to try to start a new life.

By watching the reaction, I think I realize why they succeed in preventing the future. We all know it's because of Ekko. But why ? Why this time and not in the future Jayce saw ? During the scene where Viktor see the promise between old Viktor and Jayce, old Viktor said that he tried differents timeline, and each time, it is shown that he gave Jayce a different rune. In Episode 7, the reason they succeed in creating Ekko's device is because of the rune. He said that he "was playing with Jayce inversion rune". So in my opinion, in every other timeline, Ekko never succeed in coming back from this dimension because the rune they got was not the right one. I don't know if that make sense but I like this theory.

I understand the gut instinct to be upset about Cait losing the eye but aside from it not being her dominant eye I do think it’s important to take a step back reevaluate bc even if it was her dominant eye, Cait made the choice to make that sacrifice and like 5 minutes later in the ep Jayce is telling Viktor that there’s beauty in imperfection and his illness and disability isn’t something that needs to be fixed. The same applies to Caitlyn

Jinx is definitely alive at the end. You can see her shimmer speed pink light at the start of the explosion at the Hexgate, going toward some pipes that Cait later look at on the computer being water and ventilation. Ekko also mention in ep 3 that " these pipes are connected to our water and ventilation systeme" at the Firelight Hideout, which now is my theory that she end up at the Firelight Hideout, maybe find Ekko there and Timebomb ship can still be real in this universe if they can give each other a second chance (thanks Silco). Whose coping? Not me, no sir/ma'am/pronoun of your choice. And yes, she is most definitely on the Airship at the end, but still, i'm holding on to my theory.

Take a look at the moments before the explosin, you can see a violet streak rushing away from the explosion and into an air duct. Jinx is alive and on that air ship towards a place that I cannot say cause spoilers but I have a feeling that Mel and Jinx will be the stars of upcoming series so we'll be seeing them again

Someone already mentioned it but before the explosion, there is a dash of pink zooming from the scene towards the vents. Hence why Caitlyn is looking at the vent, realizing there was an escape for Jinx. And at the end you see an airship leaving Piltover. Powder said she'd ride on one of those someday. :) And following Silco's advice, she walks away, breaking the cycle of killing. Also, if you slow down the scene where Maddie tries to shoot Caitlyn, before she shoots, you can see a frame of her with a Cheshire cat smile. Creepy.

If you go frame by frame with Maddie shooting Cait, you'll see that there was a smile in the black and white frame of it which meant she was enjoying the fact that she was about to kill Cait. They said it was because Mel is an empath with her powers so she could see what people actually feel and this was how it was showed to us what Maddie was thinking as she pulled the trigger. There, another reason to hate on this ginger 😂

Ya so Jinx is almost certainly alive you. You got both Caitlyn looking at the ducts as a escape route, and the airship at the end being a literal frame for frame copy of the airship from episode one where powder says "One day I'm going to ride one of those". Go back to the explosion scene and run though it at the slowest speed netflix will let you. You will see a pink line move out from the explosion and into a ducts very fast it's like literally 3 or 4 frames. Jinx does not want to be found. She wants to stop the cycle. For that she needs to walk away she can't to that here so she needs to leave. She can't let vi know though because to quote jinx "You're never going to give up on me" vi needs to let go but she can't so Jinx is not going to give her a choice. Something like this was always her plan. "I'm always with you. I still think they could have made one more episode to show how the characters are dealing with the aftermath of the conflict, to me it felt rushed, like Isha and Heimerdinger were never mentioned again just one example and yes I get the burning of the paper with probably their names are a part of that but it could have been a little more direct with it, I feel like they tried to cram in as much as they could in the last three episodes, don't get me wrong I loved this show, but I stand by that one more episode would have been a better finale for the show, again just my opinion, not gonna lie, I wanna see an Ahri story in this world, but we will see what they have planned for us in the future, now if yaw will excuse me, I am gonna go play some Wild Rift now.

I already said this in the community section but I'm putting it here again: Maybe I'm delulu but at the end when it says "THE END" there is a 3 "TH3 END", and we know that what they put in this series is for a reason, so is there a possible 3rd season? Knowing that there are still things to tell and that Cait also says at the end "our story isn't over". Which is a little sus 7w7 Also, if I remember correctly, there are still champions from the Zaun and Piltover regions that have not yet been shown to us uwu (I also think Jinx is still alive, if Caitlyn finds out, narratively speaking there are reasons for our "Piltover's Finest" duo to continue their story and go looking for her. I'm not going to hide that I need more of these two, I'm emotionally dependent on them X'D)

If it makes you feel better it's Caitlyn's LEFT eye, which she seems to sometimes close while shooting (irl most snipers keep both eyes open, but in media it's more common to close one). So in the world of Arcane she should still be able to shoot just fine.

While you were slowing down the jinx explosion scene, you actually paused on a streak of purple that exits the area of explosion before the actual explosion. I'm pretty sure that is jinx leaving a tracer of purple from her shimmer eyes like when she moves at super speed.
