2024-11-23 10:24:13 +0000 UTCIn world of Remnant the destruction of art and expression was Atlas's way of combating the Grimm by reducing attacks exactly like you suggested. Atlas Then tried to push it onto Mistral (their allies) and Mistral partially implemented it, but only on fringe towns, not the capital. The destruction of art was a partial reason why the war started, but not the final catalyst. The destruction of art WAS because of the Grimm, but only Atlas was really up for it. In Season 6 another episode mentions a certain family tried to quell their emotions to save on huntsmen protection too.

Though she gets a great moment to shine in the later part of Vol 3 in time to one of my favorite songs of the series.

2024-11-23 03:39:06 +0000 UTCIf you look at the great war page on the rwby wikia. It is kind of that but only the kingdom of Mantle (Atlas) had that belief with Mistral also doing that but not fully. So essentially the great war was between Mantle & Mistral vs Vale & Vaccuo.

Destroy individuality, make society as apathetic and indifferent as possible, and Grimm won’t be as attracted to large settlements. It’s a shame because that idea alone has a TON of potential for a story, I’d love to see an au or something about the cast being in the era of the Great War, that would be awesome.

2024-11-22 21:59:13 +0000 UTCSo they never properly explain it or name it in the show, just in outside sources like interviews and the art book, but Cinders power is called Scorching Caress and it's basically the ability to superheat anything she chooses. Hence her being able to explode Ruby's bullets, the sand that superheated into glass shards, etc.

They do well to explain the world a bit and still keep that air of mystery about all the goings on. Plus I think you'll fall in love with the VO
