So does this kinda proof that that was their very first kiss? I always thought that their first kiss was way too impt to not share on screen.

I may be wrong, but I took the flashback scene at the end as Cait putting the pieces together as she is a detective. And decided it was best to go along with everything in order to find out how to stop Embessa.

I have been LIVING for this. I watched the episodes first before and then am review for Act 2 with them and you pick up on so much! It's one of the reasons I love your reacts, you're incredibly observant and I love your theories and how you break things down. The Ciatvi break up was brutal, our poor Caitlyn is losing it. It's gonna take a lot to bring her back and especially to fix Caitvi, I have conflicting opinions at the moment on it. But holy shit I can't wait to see what happens.

I hate to say it because I love seeing wlw on my screen, but if I was Vi, I wouldn’t take Caitlyn back. Vi has experienced violence from Piltover, specifically enforcers, her whole life, and for the person Vi thought was different to hit her with her gun? That’s disgusting. Piltover is finally dealing with the consequences of their carelessness and inaction after 200 years, and they’re going on a genocidal rampage. Fingers crossed CaitVi’s reunion is beautiful and believable.

One of the things that struck me about the part where jinx tells isha "id you ever need to curse a family a sibling a society" was this wasn't just jinx being a villain intro...this was jinx beating herself up, these are her core beliefs. She believes that she's a Jinx, a curse, and every she cares about and gets close to her is bound ro be cursed and jinxed. This is what jinx believes herself to be and that's what she accepted at the end of season 1 when she sat down in that chair and told Vi "I thought you could love me like you used too, even though I'm different. But you've changed too so here's to the new us."
Does jinx want to desperately fix things? Yes, but everything she tries things get worse and this rienforcees her core beliefs that she is a jinx, she accepts this and is now numb to being "dead inside", ready to die "I'm ready" and passively suicide "no matter what I do, I just can't seem to die".
But there's also something else of that acceptance and that is an ability to move on from from it, a steadiness she didn't have before she hadn't accepted herself wholly, after having clung so strongly to the past, by letting go of Powder and accepting that she is a Jinx she found herself.

Also I don't think Cait and Vi are reunited until act 3
My current theory (for specifically the piltover/zaun plot line) is that at the end of Act 2 Ambessa gets what she wants and betrays Cait, with discount Vander or Jace saving her from some threat. Discount vander/Jace is going to be the one responsible for reuniting Cait and Vi and repairing that relationship to help stop what ever is in store for act 3

As you said in in episode one, Caitis consumed by her grief and anger. When Vi Stopped her from taking that final shot, albeit the objectively correct and moral thing to do. Cait felt betrayed, especially since before this fight began Vi told Cait to take the shot if there is an opening Gave a silent affirmation when Cait called out her name. Cait seeing her as her only pillar of support that then stops from doing the thing she was, in caits eyes, given permission to do.

Salo thinking Ambessa was gonna name him was a totally fair assumption for him. Ambessa was using and preparing him to be her puppet (that was the whole reason she'd been helping him), but I believe she changed her mind after Salo mentioned of the Kiramman name "bewitches" people. She realized the influence of the name and took the opportunity to gain a more powerful ally, though we'll see how easy or hard it'll be for her to manipulate Cait.

Haven't come across the word often, so I had no idea it was a slur, I didn't even know it referred to an ethnic group, just a type of person/person with a certain type of lifestyle. Edit: Your reaction to the kiss was even better than I expected. Absolutely adorable and hilarious lmao. Also that furry character's design is gorgeous and I love her. Don't worry about being a furry. Hell, I'm probably like 2 steps away from calling myself one at this point

2 things:
1) Caitlyn pressing the glitching gun to Sevika's face:
Elijah: Caitlyn, no. Look at her. Look at our Caitlyn. She's not our Caitlyn anymore.
Me: She's currently fighting for her life... do you want her to look sweet and dainty? LOL
2) Maybe, watch the scenes (especially those with music) fully before starting to break it down. It really takes the flow out of the moment and I think the viewing experience would be a bit better if the viewer gets to see your entire, full reaction before you start breaking it down. You should obviously do what works best for you, but just a bit of feedback :)

All the intros of the season 2 are a little different. When we see those glitches in them theres some factors of the episode like in the ep 1 there was ambessa with her mask before we see her, and then there was the enforcer badge when cait and vi are separated and the last one is victor in the hexcore. In ep 2 there's the wanted poster of jinx, then a faint image of cait's enforcer team with their masks and later a glimpse of isha. In ep 3 there's brief glimpse of the fight between vi and jinx, then there's the hextech core and last glimpse in that one is cait's new look.
This creator highlighted them well.

I’d like to point out that anytime Salo was on screen, he unintentionally made Cait a sort of target for Ambessa. He kept mentioning her family, and their influence and how important the Kirraman name is. I think that second time in the dungeon where Abessa started to gain interest was really putting a name to the face. But Salo messed himself up. He gave her a pawn to use.

Its intersting Vi kind of reperesents what is left of Cait's morality and self control from going deeper into her rage. her mother was one layer cut off and then her break up with Vi is the other. Now Ambessa is gonna take advantage of that and go as far as possible with it.
Zora Brightwood
2024-11-14 02:41:14 +0000 UTC
Here's the thing. And I need to point this out. While I'm sure that Vi was in some way thinking about the kid, I think the real "kid" she was trying to save was her sister, Powder. Think about this. During the course of this fight Caitlin hits 4 (to quote Caitlin) "excellent shots." First she shoots mirror Jinx, right over Vi's shoulder. Vi doesn't flinch. Why? Because she knows Cait is not going to miss. Next, while Vi and Jinx are close quarters fighting, Cait shoots off Jinx's finger. Think about that accuracy for a second. Then, she shoots the gun out of the kids hand. There she actually shot AT THE KID and Vi isn't worried. Finally, she shoots directly into Vi's hand, the perfect spot to throw Vi off balance but do no real damage to her. Cait proves just how accurate she is throughout that fight. SO, Vi isn't stopping Cait because she is afraid that Cait might miss. Vi is stopping Cait because she knows that Cait WON'T miss.
While the stuff Cait says and does are still terrible and downright brutal, her anger is at least somewhat justified because you know she sees right through Vi's bad excuse. Because she knows Vi was protecting Jinx and Cait sees that as a betrayal. I just think that both of these characters are at fault here and it's part of what I love about the show. It's those tiny details that make all the difference.
Love your reaction videos! Can't wait to enjoy the rest of the season with you!

Jinx’s suicidal ideation is really apparent in this episode but something little when she met the kid that i noticed is when jinx points her gun to her own head (which is already a big gun safety no no) she actually has her finger on the trigger. Like number one rule they teach you when learning how to safely handle firearms is always treat it like it’s loaded and don’t put your finger on the trigger until you’re ready to shoot. Not that Jinx has ever been safe with the way she handles guns lol but it’s still very telling. I also liked the symbolic detail of that red ribbon around Cait’s throat like a noose in the final scene

What I love so dearly about this episode is that even though it led to the CaitVi breakup, it seems to have been the beginning of Jinx and Vi having somewhat of a relationship again. Vi is gonna spiral obvs, but the look that Jinx gave her when she saved Isha, it was like she could recognize her big sister the protector again. They both by the end of the episode seemed to realize that the sister they both grew up with wasn't actually gone. I really hope that we get sisterly healing happening while Cait and Vi are apart. They truly haven't gotten any real time to sit with each other without anything going on. Little Isha really seemed to save the day in so many ways <3333

What gets me is how the events of and leading into this act really tear away at the work that Caitlyn has put into bettering herself. Even if she has always strayed outside of her station, she was raised as a member of the Piltover elite- very rich and powerful, surrounded by others who are very rich and powerful. Their opinions, however consciously, did somewhat shape her own, and she has never been without her internalized biases(sarcastically asking Vi why she would trust “someone like (her)”, immediately telling Ekko he’s wrong about Enforcers hunting down Zaunites, etc.). She did have good role models like Sheriff Grayson, but who else did she absorb her views from? We’ve seen in season 1 how she really does strive to be a good person and starts to work through her internalized biases through her time with Vi, but it’s not something that’s completely undone so easily. Getting over that can take a very long time, and she really did try, but her trauma from Jinx and her actions compounded with the attack at the memorial just ripped those biases up through the floorboards, uglier and more virulent than ever(“What kind of…animals?!”). Honestly though, I think it’s going to do her more good in the long run, at least in terms of her character. Being puppeted by Ambessa sucks, but if she manages to be brought around from this, she’s going to see what she became in holding onto hate and be horrified at herself. Seeing what she had become is a sure way to make sure she never crosses that line again.

I'm putting all my hope into the thought, that Ambessa will find that it is not that easy to manipulate Cait than it was with Salo. At first she will follow Ambessa, but she will calmn down and start to think eventually. Rage or not, she is too smart to be just a puppet for long. Salo said "It's not the girl, it's the name", and Ambessa seems to think that too - and that is where they're misjudging her. It is as least as much Caitlyns personality as it is her name. She'll turn around. I'm just afraid she will cause irreparable damage in the mean time.
Man, they pulled out all the stops to break Vi (and Caitlyn). Right now I don't see how those two can be together again...💔🙈
Please let Caitlyn come to her senses, I couldn't stand it if they (the writers) killed everything that was good in her (and that was a lot)...😭

One thing I haven't seen anybody talk about really is the fact that the last line we hear before the kiss scene is Ambessa saying "We must distance ourselves. She's safer as our enemy." I think that was very deliberate, and it makes me think there's more going on with the CaitVi breakup scene than we're shown. Specifically, I suspect part of why Caitlyn did what she did was deliberately to make Vi HATE her and keep her distance, because she sees how much Vi is struggling with the things they've been doing and 1. wants to protect her from being complicit in any more of what Caitlyn is about to do next. And 2. she knows Vi makes her soft, makes her question and doubt herself when she needs to make "the necessary decisions to keep us safe"
So she pushes Vi away in the most brutally effective way she knows: Acting like she's just another one of the enforcers who hurt Vi, who killed her parents

As much as I agree that using The Grey is horrible and inhuman, Caitlyn is using it to infiltrate and dismantle shimmer rings, and to try to take down people who are still following Silco. This is a small operation. They use The Grey in doses, opening specific vents to siege areas without being seen. It's pretty much covered up as a leak. It's clever but yeah...Caitlyn isn't playing around.
Janna is a playable champion in League. She's one of my favorite support character so I was pretty excited when she was mentioned in this episode. We even see her quite a few times in paintings on Zaun walls. I'm sort of hoping we get to see her later on, maybe coming back to cleanse Zaun once more.
The Caitlyn/Vi situation at the end is tough.
On one side, you have Caitlyn who is so close to get revenge for her mother, something that has been consuming her thoughts since the first episode. Vi gave her permission to take the shot if she has it.
And on the other side you have Vi who has been strung along Cait, while battling with the reality that her sister is gone. She had to make choices she wasn't necessarily happy about (joining the officers, going against her sister). She gave permission to take the shot, but then changed her mind when she saw that the little girl, Isha, loved Jinx and wanted to protect her. That feeling she can relate so much.
And then you have Jinx, who saw the switch in her sister, who turned back and told Caitlyn to stop. So much conflicting emotions.
Ugh this episode... I can't wait for the next 3's.

I think that the 'monstrous' look of The Gray is just a stylistic choice to emphasize how dangerous it is, and the fear it strikes in the heart of the people who have to deal with it. To show that it's not just unpleasant but dangerous.

Didn't make a big deal? Life in the underground js dictated by it. It's the reason the enforcers wear mask. It's one reason so many in down there are sick. Silko used it to scare his lackies and called them whimps for needing help. The grey might be a name used for a specific conceration of it but it been impact the shownthe entire time. It's almost more scary they didn't name it. Just lived with it because it's a every day thing.

Some LoL fans even got upset that Season 1 didn't make any kind of big deal about it, so I imagine they're pretty happy to see this.

I absolutely love the fact that your thumbnail shows you extremely happy but at the same time your password says nothing but pain 😅

When Cait grabs her arm and says her name but doesn't say anything, I think that was silent communication, Cait telling her to be careful. That's just a guess.

The grey was in season 1 too it just wasn't given a name. It's basically just fantasy smog that's a bit a more toxic but real life coal miners and stuff dealt with very similar considitons. She's more more controlling it than releasing it as a vent system will ve there to pull out the bad air and filter in good air but yea bad move by cait. This is literally a war crime

In your reaction career, how many gay moment related injuries have you suffered?

I don't think this is a spoiler, but the Black Rose is one of the main houses/forces of Noxus. They're a group full of political schemers, armies, vampires, immortals and mages (Hence the possession and red magic). They're a group so secretive and untrusting that many of their members do not know eachothers identities. Tldr, Ambessa to The Black Rose = US Army captain to The entire CIA.
