2024-11-14 23:44:26 +0000 UTCI'm late watching this because I wanted to rewatch season 1 and watch these episodes before your reactions, but goddamn, this episode was incredible. Like season 1 was really good, but ultimately a lot of it was establishing things for the overall story. This episode alone feels like so much more happened than most season 1 episodes. They've also been using more 2D/3D blending in the animation, and I'm always a fan of that. Also Jinx is easily my favourite character in this show. Such a tragic character, twisted by trauma... honestly relatable... Edit: Also omg is that a DVD box set for season 1? It looks so cool! Plus it'd be nice to support the show more. I think Arcane is genuinely in my top 10 fave shows. At least top 15, but probably top 10, I should make an official list at some point...

I think she knows about it, thanks to her mothers legacy, and manipulates the ventilation system to direct it to their advantage. I'm not sure if Caitlyn is aware of it, but I, too, think it is more than just trapped factory smog from the fissures. I think someone (or something) is messing with it. We've seen Singed using a smoke bomb with that green fog to attack the wolves and a green fluid of the same shade is seen all over the underground (in Rennys nose, in powering the Arcade shooting range, powering artificial limbs)...🤔 I guess shimmer and Jinx being used to this kind of smog are the reasons it doesn't affect her as much as it does others. We've seen it causing hallucinations. I knew you would love the arm Jinx made for Sevika...🤩 It is practically Jinx whole personality molded into that arm. Of course it had to have music, fireworks and a built-in slot machine...😂 If Sevika is wearing that thing all the time though, she will walk pretty lopsided soon. It goes almost down to the ground and looks really heavy. P.S.: I'm worried about Jinx' adorable little apprentice too...🙈 P.P.S.: Regarding the attack of the memorial it occured to me just now, that the fake enforcer didn't try to kill Mel Medarda, even though she was unprotected and helpless in that moment. If Ambessa actually is behind the attack it would make sense to take care that her daughter isn't harmed during the fight...🤔

This isnt to say be isn't to blame for how life in the undercity became corrupted and was ignored. But the only way he's going to make up for it and make sure it doesn't happen again is by experiencing that life. And actively helping too and he seems to have no issue with that.

2024-11-12 15:15:07 +0000 UTCI definitely think the Arcane is using Sky to speak to Viktor. In a way, it seems to make him feel better, like he has a purpose. I think the hexcore isn't bad to Viktor, as they are fused, but it is changing him. His grief with Sky is what seems to push him forward. Or, the Arcane IS Sky, since she was the first being the Arcane absorbed. It gave the Arcane a mind and identity.

And that also then comes to your question: What does it _want?_ it wants something, it clearly meant for Victor to come here and probably to heal these people, but _WHY?_

2024-11-12 04:04:52 +0000 UTCFor context regarding the Grey, it's always existed in League of Legends' lore as a form of severe air pollution in Zaun, especially the lower levels. Not instantly fatal, but very unpleasant, and lengthy exposure can indeed kill people, especially if their immune system is compromised. When Silco talked about the bad air in Season 1, he was referencing the Grey. People were surprised when the Grey didn't show up in the first season because in the short stories, it was pretty much the main sign of oppression of Zaun. In Arcane it's getting more anthropomorphized than normal, but this may just be because Jinx isn't always the most rational of persons. Overall it's dangerous, but something the Undercity has lived with for a while. Because Pilties are assholes.

2024-11-11 22:32:36 +0000 UTCi legit jsut came from youtube to watch this, i just joined, i found your channel because of arcane and you are awesome. especially with what happened to Jessie paege i want to support queer creators. also i watched this with my friend and we actually learned that the opening song visuals change episode to episode! we went frame by frame, i will only reveal the two for the two episodes you have posted now, and when to find the one for the third episode. episode one we see a flash of ambessa's mask, in episode two we see isha's face when jinx is waving her flag, and in episode three you will find the added visual when jayce is on screen. happy reacting! And yes, i also love how they keep Singed update as kind of epilogue for each episode. Really keep you on the edge of your seat and it's going to be a big thing when it comes into play

But in the end Viktor is still fulfulling his dreams of saving the people of the undercity, so thats awesome to see. And watching Cait slowly turning into Jinx is pretty heartbreaking from both her own and Vi's POV. Vi could not save Powder from becoming Jinx and now she has to watch her gf and closest person to her go through the same again..

2024-11-11 17:43:35 +0000 UTClets appreciate jinx's little dance, before she goes and rips out our hearts again. also jinx's "it was something I could fix" line hurts in every way 1. because she is the reason sevika needs the arm in the first place and 2. jinx thinks she breaks everything close to her and is accepting that reality, she is becoming more confident in who she is and that is terrifying.

2024-11-11 16:09:21 +0000 UTCOk so for context, the "Grey" is the natural thick smoke that everyone in the undercity were stuck breathing for all those years, basically the smoke that Silco used in S1 to choke/threaten all the syndicate leaders during that meeting. That Smoke "demon" you were seeing is the just the nightmarish portrail of how the gas looks to someone who has been choked by that gas before but with Enforcers behind it with their glowing goggles

2024-11-11 14:06:50 +0000 UTCI swear, Ella Purnell just owns the role of Jinx. Every line is like Oscar level of performance. I met her at London Comic Con and she was so lovely. It’s really fascinating how she sounds completely different, not just in terms of accent, but also having the certain dark and withered mentality for the voice. Jinx’s character is just peak cinema. 👏💜 I like how Elijah, as well as Mosco, have picked on Caitlin having picked up traits that Jinx had in the first season. And I did pick them out after watching it. While I do love it because I think it’s such quality writing, but I’m also terrified. It’s almost like using a double edged sword. In her pursuit of revenge, Caitlin risks becoming the one person she hates in order to kill her. We’ll just have to see how this plays out. 💙

Everybody they've gone after, even with the smoke, has just been arrested or left on the ground unable to fight but still alive and coughing Still dark! I mean, yikes. But not quite so dark as straight up murder
