And it certainly does a very nice job giving the audience all kinds of useful information without feeling like it’s just lecturing us, and as someone who’s never had an eating disorder but does have lifelong OCD, I feel much more connected to Charlie now. Also very neat that the show doesn’t feel the need to actually show us Darcy making the decision to switch pronouns and just trust that anyone who’s stuck with it this far will be perfectly willing to just go along with it. I’m also now very curious to see if there were other hints to their being NB in the first two seasons after the very pointed foreshadowing we got in this season’s first three episodes before the confirmation here, especially since this isn’t part of Darcy’s story in the comic.
