This 8s 7nique to the everlight , because the everlight is the god of forgivness , redemption and compasion difernt gods have difernt standards the god of death hates undead and is alao the god 9f fate because its everyones fate to die and any who defy that feel her wrath But everlight is compasion and care she forgives all who are redeemable and demands her followers kill the trully unredeemable she one most lenient gods in tal’dorie

Scanlan is the best and I love that you like him and Mosco couldn’t stand him to begin with. 🤭

It is kind of ridiculous that the didn't even try to hit the guy during that fight, but we needed the drama (probably) lol. Seriously though, Percy's kinda fucking cool. In a party with magic users, and rogues, and fighters, he's just a dude with a gun who kicks ass. Key is currently my fave, but he might be second, honestly.

So about the white hair, it's the Marie Antoinette Syndrome. Essentially Marie Antoinette aged well beyond her years, due to severe stress of being in a merciless prison. Anime and cartoons have prettied it up, so your hair simply turn white, as Percy mentioned in episode 4 he and Cassandra endured "weeks of torture"

DM is Matthew Mercer Voice of Leon in resident evil 6 And Ganandorf in tears of the kingdom among others

Mark Famelton

You mean No Mercy... Percy. I'm sorry I just... Sometimes I love and hate this show, damn you Matt and the whole Critical Role team.

Unrelated to this episode, but I would LOVE it if you reacted to The Edge of Sleep on Prime Video, Markiplier plays the main character and it's pretty short (6 episodes, 20-25 minutes each).

SauceyRed

Another great reaction! I can’t wait for next one!

The reason Percy's hair turned white is due to "Canities subita, also called Marie Antoinette syndrome or Thomas More syndrome, The syndrome has been hypothesized to be a variant of alopecia areata diffusa or autoimmune non-scarring hair loss that selectively affects all pigmented hairs, leaving only the white hair behind. Canities subita is caused by high levels of emotional stress, which, in turn, causes less pigmentation of the hair.[3] These form the basis of most uses of the idea in fictional works. It has been found that some hairs can become colored again when stress is reduced.[5][6]" If you want to see an example of this check out Steven Kings "IT" the main bully of the book hair turns white due to seeing "IT", at least in the films.

Yeah, the cognitive frustration of the Anders fight is real. But I also relate to being in a D&D fight where you're like "DM, do we get a sense that if we kill him, we stop the other guys?" And the DM is like "do you wanna do an arcana role? It'll be your action for that turn," and you're like "Damn it! I'll just deal with these guys! How long could it take?" And then it's like 6 turns later & the DM is like "yeah, you could've stopped it all sooner if you'd killed him." Plays a little different in a show, though, when you're just like "Get *HIM*!" Good reactions as always! Real excited for your reactions for basically everything from here on!

I think it might just have worked better if they had really got across that Percy can't get a clean shot at him through the fight — which is why, of course, he has to resort to that magnificent trick shot at the end (and yes, Talesin did indeed roll a nat 20 on that one).

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

To be fair, he didn't get the nickname No Mercy Percy because he DIDN'T shoot everyone in the head anyways. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sara Fields

Grog's Intelligence is a 6, his Wisdom is actually 10! I actually just looked back at this part of the campaign and he had advantage on the roll too but failed with a 14

Angela Birr

FYI Grog has a VERY low Wisdom (It's only a 6 so coupled with his lack of proficiency in WIS saves he rolls a -2 to all his WIS saves), so unless he gets REALLY lucky Grog usually fails all his WIS saves.

Eliteguard99

Agreed! Also on a related note "Ryan" gave Mosco and some other reactors a shoutout on twitter last week.

TXOT

the reason they diddn't just kill anders is simply because it's more dramatic. It's hard to adapt fights from the table because real people don't have hp. Fights would end a lot quicker if you could jsut shoot the enemy wizard with a gun like in real life. In the game things have damage die and hit points, anders might have been able to tank a couple of shots int he game that would be harder to adapt in a show. I get that it can be stressful or annoying, but you don't want every fight to be percy shooting someone in the head the first chance he gets, that would be a boring show. Just some food for thought

"You were the face I saw when murder entered my heart" I swear, Taliesin comes up with the rawest lines

Kris Grimsley

Powered through that anxiety attack like a CHAMP! You kicked it's ass! Yup! Scanlan is pansexual! An equal opportunity fuck boi. The sexualities of the other party members are out there, I just don't know how much is considered spoilers.

Joey Quixote

The death of Professor Anders is still one of my favorite moments out of any of their campaigns. Taliesin Jaffe is insanely good at improve and while the delivery in the show of "you were the face I saw when murder entered my heart" was great. In the actually campaign it was chilling and very emotional. Speaking of that I highly recommend after you finish season one you watch some of the table to screen moments from Vox Machina. Great video!

Collin

Wow, Elijah was really feeling it in this episode. I’m glad she’s not playing DnD with Critical Role. Because it is exhilarating and stressful just for me to watch them play it. Imagine having to actually play in the campaign. You’d need lots of water within the first hour. 😅💜

Liam Gradwell

"Horde! With a D!" You don't want to know what I was thinking here...

Bug Catcher Jacky

I don't know if that particular scene with Cassandra happened as is in the campaign, but Ryan LOVES making his players squirm. Perfect example: when Laura (Vex's player) nearly murdered Travis (Grog's player and Laura's husband) on a live stage. Context without spoilers: Because of a suggestion from Grog, there was a moment where it was very uncertain if the group had lost something that was very important to both Vex AND Laura. They didn't, but Ryan REALLY stretched out the tension before confirming it.

Thunder

The Dungeon Master of critical role is Matthew Mercer. But it would be hilarious to me if you kept calling him Ryan.

Rupert Anderson Jr

Everyone always asks why Percy doesn't just shoot him, but earlier he does try and an armor suit blocks the shots with its arm, he's well-guarded. PS - When Grog is possesed you don't want him to block any potential shots, since you kinda don't want Grog to die.

David Bodor

Now they have to battle the undead. Lovely. Let's hope that they are ,,lucky" on that front.

I know you have priority shows and all, but I can't wait for you to be caught up! So much stuff in season 3 I wanna see your reaction of! :) Meanwhile, 'gonna go enjoy this one!

It wasn't his turn 😂
