2024-10-12 00:23:49 +0000 UTCBasically the 3 other kingdoms are not strong enough to fight xadia without the resources of Kalitous. It's a stupid and cruel stragety but it has really life counterparts. There's also the fact that he knows there js a faction in kalitous that disagree with the king. So either Ezra give in to that faction, that faction takes over while Ezra is busy or after his death or imprisonment. It's a ruthless grab for more resources though more so than just wasting their own.

That is just a crazy fan theory, I do believe. π

Something similar happened in real life during WW1 when Belgium refused to allow the Germans to cross their borders to attack France, even though they were neutral.

2024-10-08 20:36:22 +0000 UTCViren was the one who proposed the war to begin with, so when Ezran didn't want to go to war, Prince Kasef basically demanded that they either put Viren back in charge or he'd attack Katalis. Though one thing to remember is that only Viren, Aaravos and the audience know anything about who actually attacked to kings and queens of the other kingdoms, to everyone else, it seems as if the Moonshadow elves did it. That said, Prince Kasef is a bullheaded idiot either way, and yes, you can hate him all you want, we all do.

2024-10-08 19:49:57 +0000 UTCThey never properly explain the deal Ezran made in-show and it took a LOT of people having a second watch-through to fully get it. The idea is laid down in Ezrans dialogue right before he lays down the crown. In exchange for Katolis not being attacked and soldiers being allowed to abstain from attacking Xadia if they wish it, Ezran has to give up his spot on the throne and take Virens place in jail. It admittedly pissed me off the first time I watched Book 3 XD

2024-10-08 17:32:33 +0000 UTCJust finished watching it, I think the idea, based on the continent map, is that Kotalis is the human border kingdom to Zadia. So the other armies would have to go through Kotalis to get to Zadia. No leader would march an army through and set up supply lines in territory they weren't in an active alliance with or control outright. The only Kovu I know of is Scars son in the second lion king film. Callum is great in that he dosent, other than the first episode, seem to do things to impress people or scheme particularly. He just does the next thing that seems right to him and goes from there. Loved the boomerang moment. Also for all the shouting at Vieran, he thinks he's right. There is nothing more dangerous then someone who thinks their right.

Now only those in his kingdom who actually WANT war with Xadia will fight in it
