Given that Jorge voiced the farmer, I feel like some of the characters are shout outs to "Book of Life" Especially that one woman in the crowd - she looks strongly inspired by Maria Posada. I'm still sad that he never got to make his next film - Kung Fu Space Western. It is exactly what it sounds like.
