That Snake is named Simon and it has one eye as an inside joke. It’s a one eyed trouser snake. 🤭 No Mercy Percy the character that got me Into D&D to begin with.

2024-08-21 21:48:49 +0000 UTCThe two players for them, Liam O'Brien and Laura Bailey even got matching shirts to help since they sat next to each other at the table. They each had one that had an arrow pointing at the other and read "I'm Vax/Vex, that's Vex/Vax" depending on which it was. Best part is later Laura's husband Travis (Grog's player) got one that pointed up at himself and read "I'm Grog, I'm Grog"

2024-08-21 21:37:14 +0000 UTCIt's funny that you keep mixing up Vex and Vax! The cast does it often enough anyways, so don't feel bad. The way I remember is A for Adam (ie vAx), and E for eve (ie vEx). I also know people who use mAle and fEmale.

2024-08-21 19:22:35 +0000 UTCYes, that is the DM, Matt Mercer. They placed him in several different places across the episodes, some obvious, some less so. He was also the guard that Scanlan pees on in the first ep. It's like a where's Waldo, but with Matt XD On a side-note, he voices Silas too.

First of all, because I knew how the episode ended, I just couldn't help laughing whenever you praised Percy's self-control! I was, like, "yeah, you haven't seen everything yet!" :p And the second element, as I saw you being worried about Vax when the Briarwoods caught him, just a small reminder of something: See, in most shows, you expect the main characters to be relatively safe, unless the author wants otherwise. That's how storytelling goes. But this is not a simple story; it's based off a D&D game, as you well know. It's scripted for consistency and dramatic effect of course, but the overall stuff that's happening here, it also happened in the game. And in a D&D game, none of the characters are ever 100% safe. Which means that, in the show, they aren't either! Just something to keep in mind for you! :)

It's actually safe to assume that Percy's hair went white more so due to his PTSD and other related things that I won't get into as they could be spoilers. The problem with Delilah & Silas is not only are they extremely strong, but they're also really clever. A clever villain is an extremely dangerous one. Also, it's so funny that it keeps happening cuz it just reminds me of watching Campaign 1 of Crit Role but just for like future reference: Vex'ahlia/Vex = girl twin Vax'ildan/Vax = boy twin Gosh I'm glad you seem to be liking this series! Your reactions have been a delight to see so far and I look forward to see how you'll enjoy the rest of this insane, intense, amazing ride!

2024-08-21 16:55:35 +0000 UTCsomething great about Vox Machina and critical role is they're famous voice actors and have a lot of their other voice actor friends and other people in the industry on their show as guest players or for one shots. ND Stevenson was a guest multiple times, so was his wife for one of their oneshots. you probably can't watch an animated show without someone being connected to critical role these days. like you mentioned mako from korra, Matt and Marisha especially are huge avatar fans, Keyleth has a lot of inspiration from avatar, but you'll be able to see that later if you continue the show which I hope you do

2024-08-21 16:53:22 +0000 UTCAlso the safe word in the original campaign was "Jenga" but because Jenga is a copyrighted word they changed it to "Chenga". The same copyright concerns is why Scanlan calls his Mage Hand "Scanlan's Hand" instead of "Bigby's Hand".

As you've seen he was the Orc in the Tavern who Grog cuts the hand off of and the guy putting up the Wanted Poster in Episode 1 and he's also the voice of Sylas Briarwood.
