2025-04-10 13:02:32 +0000 UTCMy headcanon is that when we saw the flashback in Understanding Willow with Alador being snobby-like, it was either a young Amity projecting her mother's behavior onto him, or him putting up a front for the sake of "a unified message" or however Odalia sold it to him. In all other flashbacks or photos in which he appears, he looks just as tired and run-down as he does in the present day, so that appearance from Amity's memories is an outlier. (It's probably just a continuity error, but I like finding reasons it can still work.)

I think it might have more to do with them (Alador and Darius) being rival abomination masters, and having moved in such radically different directions. Darius is organic and traditional, while Alador is scientific and inventive, which Darius probably thinks is heretical. Not REAL abomination magic, don'tchaknow. Style-conscious Darius probably also thinks the abomitons are ugly. Just a thought. P.S. I'm laughing and crying right along with you!

They were friends when they were kids and I don’t think anyone would be surprise if Odalia would be that bitch to conspire to split them up for her own benefit. That would explain Darius’ attitude toward Alador, and I don’t remember Alador expressing any ill will toward him either. Then again, I may just projecting a mlm romance since this show is gay AF and I’m here for it!

2022-05-21 23:54:24 +0000 UTCNo matter how ominous the future looks, no matter how many sacrifices have already and may have yet to be made for the plan, no matter how many little shits I've grown unfortunately attached to that may have no desire to come around until it's too late to stop her genocidal boss from enacting his plan to kill her and everyone else on the Isles god FUCKING dammit Kiki- this episode gave us something truly beautiful and momentous. I hope this is just the beginning of kids getting to see this kind of representation and so much more in their shows that still manage to tell such an amazing story as Dana and crew have done, even with the horrible way Disney treated their show.
