Book 3 Cover + July Updates

Mostly just wanted to share that I got the (probably) final cover for book 3 back recently. Title may or may not change if I can think of something better before I release it, but the art beneath the text is definitely final. Decided to go with Tess's Dungeon of Tragedies door. Lemme know what you all think, and a special shoutout to the artist I commission for my covers (nelediel.com)!
Past that, things are largely going well on the writing front. My backlog is a whopping 16 chapters at this point, which is making me feel really good.
Current plan is to pause on writing book 4 to take the rest of July to iron out all the edits I want to do for book 3. Once it's fully done, I'll pivot back to book 4. With the amount of backlog I have, though, that shouldn't have any impact on the release schedule, so rest assured, there are no breaks or hiatuses coming. After that, I'll shoot to build up a backlog of 20 chapters and then hopefully shift to more than two chapters a week.
Regardless, though, save for how much I can't stand editing sometimes, my first two months as a full-time writer have been lovely, and a big thank you to all of you who are supporting me.
That's all I got! Next chapter on Thursday, as per usual.

I'm not sure how long it will take, as I know the audio folks have busy schedules, but I'll be sending the edited manuscript to my audio publisher as soon as it's ready. Given that they haven't told me otherwise, assuming that Soneela will be narrating the third as well!

2024-07-08 14:06:16 +0000 UTCConsidered this! I think I ended up nixing it because it felt like it gives people who haven't read the book/series a wrong idea of what it's about. Makes it seem like it's going to be a dungeon core book that mostly takes place inside a very tragic and sad dungeon, which is very far from a usually chill school/settlement litrpg. Maybe worth reconsidering though.
