January Updates

Hi all! It's about to be a new year! Wild stuff!

I had a few meta-updates that were relevant to all tiers, so just wanted to share them here.

First and foremost, I've decided to change my posting schedule! My week of editing turned out to be really productive and enjoyable, so I've decided to follow in the footsteps of a lot of other serials and start taking an admin week each month. To balance this out, I'll be posting three times a week instead of two, and starting in January, I'll be posting Monday/Thursday/Saturday. The net effect of this should be positive, as it moves me from publishing ~8.5 chapters each month to publishing ~10 chapters each month. Neat!

The only other announcement I have is: It's my birthday! Woohoo! Age has increased by 1!

If you're reading this, that already means you've given me a lovely birthday gift by choosing to subscribe to the book's Patreon. If you have any desire to do something extra nice, I do have an ask that's entirely free!

All the way back at the end of September, someone posted a review for my book on Amazon. I think the intent was probably nice, and it tells people to support my writing, but it starts out with "You can read this fun story for free. Just do a quick web search and you will find the continuing web serial."

It's currently the top review on the book, and as you can imagine, it's not super fun to have the top review on an Amazon book be "you don't have to pay for this if you don't want to -- just google it instead" !

If anyone has the time or inclination to help out, my hope is that some new reviews could push that one from being the first thing everyone sees. As a fun side-effect, the first book currently sits at 98 ratings, and it would be really cool if it got pushed to the 100s today!
