I got a free ticket to this movie the day it opened. Had come to the theater to see something else, wound up witnessing this gem live with no expectations, never having even seen a trailer. Was absolutely floored by how good it was - and no, didn't expect the cliffhanger but was so ready for Vol 2. It remains one of my favorite action movies Btw, I was always told the black and white was because the sheer volume of gore would have made it NC-17 💀 Please go watch Vol 2 soon!
