Proof of Life #31: Introducing the characters and other news (Part.1)

Hello guys and gals, N_Taii here! Bet you weren’t expecting me, uh?^^

Anyway, I decided to do this PoL post a tad bit differently and Introduce the main and side female characters over this and the following weeks.

Today will be 2 side chars and a main one, and the rest next week.

First, the MC’s mother, Aywin. She is originally from another tribe, but after meeting Envar, her future husband and father of her child, she went away to live with him in his own tribe. She is a sweet and friendly person, always ready to extend a hand to those who need it. While she may seem meek and docile at first sight, she hides an unsuspected strength and will always hold her ground when she deems it necessary.

Second, Thania, one of the tribe’s members. Her husband suddenly disappeared in the forest while she was pregnant, and was never heard of again. It is suspected he got attacked by monsters. She is slowly trying to overcome the sadness of having lost her husband and having to take care of her child on her own. Her personality is pretty close to that of Aywin, although a bit weaker mentally and can yield to pressure a lot more easily.

Last one this week is Solana. She’s one of the MC’s childhood friend, who’s also got a secret crush on him. Her parents had her when they were already pretty old, and most considered it a true miracle to have a child at their age. Unfortunately, Solana’s mother died a few years after her birth, and her father seem to have mysteriously contracted the same illness as his wife. Because of that, she had to grow up faster than the other children and can act pretty mature for her age. However, she is still a pretty mischievous child who loves to play outside with her friends.

--I know all of this sounds pretty sad, but don’t worry, while the backstories are rather tragic, the story in itself isn’t. Well, for now at least. : )--

General news about HC2

I’ve almost finished the first part of the demo, which, as I’ve said it already in another post, takes place a few years before the main story and introduces all the characters that will take part in our tale. All in all, I think I’ve got around 2h-2h30 of playtime done already (except if you decide to skip the dialogues).

Since I’m introducing every character and the whole tribe as well, most of it is dialogue and no sex scenes yet. I hesitated a bit about that because I was worried people would find it plain boring. However, I don’t want the players to get thrown into a world they know nothing about, with characters they care little about and then, suddenly, some sex scenes get shoehorned in. I’d rather prioritize story-building at first, which will be part of the build-up towards the NTR. I hope you’ll enjoy it!

I'll do my best to have something ready by the 10th of July. Even if it isn't the full demo yet, I want you guys to experience the world and the characters first-hand so I can get some feedback (and also so you can look forward to the rest). Thanks!
