To answer a few questions you had, 1.) Barbossa was able to find Jack with Jack's compass, when he was in Captain Salazar's ship. 2.) To release the Black Pearl from the bottle they needed Blackbeard's sword, which Barbossa had. So Jack wasn't able to release it by breaking it.
