Akira fan art/the Colonel
Added 2024-05-17 23:11:52 +0000 UTCContinuing a new tradition started with the Old Boy fan art, I am drawing a sexy character from a favorite manga/comic artist I am reading (rereading), then drawing one of my own characters in that style. I’m thinking of Jay, since he’s got a high and tight like a lot of Akira adult male characters, and a tiny nose like the Colonel here.
I’m including my reference sheet mainly to show something it’s good for me too see—- Otomo and his work “Akira” are, rightly so, considered the pinnacle of manga/comic book work, and the Colonel’s bandages and body hair is wildly inconsistent panel to panel. Very refreshing to see as someone who struggles to maintain continuity!
