Loose catch-up page
Added 2024-04-07 22:34:25 +0000 UTCThis here is the intro to part 2 of Loose, which is a reworked panel from page 4 of part 1. This is also where I got the silhouette for the stretch goal sticker, which is also serving as a small vignette on the back cover.
We made the sticker stretch goal yesterday! Now it’s time to work on the next stretch goal. I will be posting about that soon.
I’ve been re-lettering some of the early pages of #2, my letters get noticeably better over the course of the issue, so I wanted to even it out. I’m also fixing some problems with the art… I always see things I want to fix after posting the pages. Sometimes it’s just me, but often there’s proportional issues I can fix, or a likeness could be better. It’s a little bit of an exercise in restraint, because, like my lettering gets better, there’s also a marked point a third of the way into Fire in the Rain where I ditched speed for quality, and working on polishing the “speed” pages I am just aghast at how scratchy the line-work is. It really is a good idea to examine where you were a few years ago to see how much you have grown since then.
