Happy April, y’all!
I’m swamped with Kickstarter stuff today so I am sticking this here to hold my page over until I get something finished to show.
March was a big month. I started part 3 of Loose, did some fan art for the classic noir manga Oldboy, a fun original Monmon cat, a welcome sketch, some analog ink drawings of Feral and the Ghost Skater, I wrote a bit, and we had a poll and run-off poll to decide on the month’s sticker.
Oh, and I launched my first Kickstarter! Our first, as Tannis Comix, but it is for a book I made and I put the campaign together… William gave me some much needed editing on the “Story” part of the campaign page, and was always there to bounce ideas off of and discuss, but I can say I put it together. And man, that was a lot of work. Now we can use that experience to make future campaigns easier and smoother, though to be honest this has been smooth and easy, just a lot.
That brings me to now, day 7 of the campaign. We’re at 141% funded, and only 25% of the way in. I took the weekend off from posting about it, but now it’s time to think about stretch goals, and I think the first will be a sticker, and a further stretch goal will be a mini-print. Stretch goals need to be things that won’t add on to shipping costs, which is why I have decided on these. So I will be designing a sticker to post about to promote the stretch goals, and for the mini-print I am looking at the image I was originally going to use for the cover of issue 2.
Thank you all for your support! I couldn’t do it without you.
