I did a lot of google street view research for the area, and decided to include scaffolding and construction work as it makes it all look lived in. I also love the use of green (the color I gave to this character) and greys. I love silent storytelling, too. There’s noise implied by the street, and the “voice over” implied by the note in marker… I should look at how the page ended up in print. Bryan made a fair number of decisions with sound effects that I didn’t agree with, but hey it was his to do with it as he pleased.
