The one I chose for this panel is a forensic reconstruction of Sadako’s face on top of her actual skull. This is how she appears later in the film. The first drawing I did with the wig on it, which I like, but the base and support rod appear to be her neckline on an outfit and I redrew it without the wig for clarity.
I do find it ironic that I am teasing a page that summarizes the entries of a franchise that I love for its world building by showing the panel about the one that does the least. Lol sorry. Gotta save the interesting stuff.
Side note: I do find the whole concept of starting a separate continuity just because the other wasn’t well received fascinating, but it’s a dead end so to speak, which is a head scratcher. Parts of it were added to the first American movie, but then they hired this director to do the sequel to the American film after already using his sequel ideas… such a mess all around. The American Ring 2 isn’t a bad film, it’s just a disappointing sequel. I hated it on the first watch, but having seen it again recently I enjoyed it.
