2023-10-21 17:54:27 +0000 UTCOn the one hand I understand that being a policeman today is a challenging job, but I also strongly feel that we have lost all curbs on as well as accountability for their actions/behavior. A huge issue I believe is that we live in a country where, in general, far too many issues/situations are treated as if they are law and order problems as if more laws, stronger enforcement will solve the problems which it does not and never has. It seems that collectively our country has “criminalized” most problematic situations: homelessness, drug abuse, mental illness are the obvious ones, but the list goes on and on. Your dream (nightmare) just exemplifies how quickly a simple situation escalates.
