I’m posting this because I need it for reference and I hadn’t posted it here before.

This was done as a decorative pattern for Velvet Collar. Velvet Collar was a comic I was doing the artwork for (layouts, pencils, inks, colors, and lettering). I was under contract and not allowed to share most of what I was doing. I did all of issue 1 and everything except the coloring/lettering on issue 2. I posted about it while I was doing it, but didn’t share much though I wanted to share it all.

So, the writer, Bryan Knight, died suddenly last month. I don’t know what from, apparently he just went in his sleep. We didn’t part on good terms, but I wished him no ill. We’re all a villain in someone’s story.

It just occurred to me that I might be legally entitled to share my work on this now. I will look further into it. It isn’t perfect, but I think I did some pretty decent comic book pages for it. My friend Brad Rader said it was the best work he’d seen me do.
