R.I.P. Cheems

I couldn’t believe this original shiba inu was still alive, tbh. But what seems like forever ago was just a decade, when he first came to fame as doge. Incidentally, I had always read that as “dog e”. “Doggy”. I was initially a bit confused when I first heard ppl calling him Doge with the g sounding like a j. I had already been called my dog “dog-ee” so it just made sense to me.
Anyway, I had stuck him into various backgrounds a decade ago, and then drew him as this beefcake pin-up as a Kickstarter reward drawing (I did a lot of those, I need to post more of them). I later colored it and used it in fliers and avatars and such. Note to self: start posting these little patreon post fliers to social media again!
On father’s day back in 2017, William made me a Father’s Day card from Sammy in the Cheems style. ❤️
The whole Doge-coin thing ain’t his fault. Fuck crypto.
