My original script included here comparative descriptions of the environment that I cut from the final. This beach is much like my experience of the Mediterranean Sea, specifically in the Algarve of southern Portugal. I found it to be very otherworldly, and in the case of south westernmost point of Europe, I could completely understand why people once thought it the edge of the world, and the mist beyond was hiding something else.
