Clarifications on the Poll

Hey all! So the kickstart book and t-shirt option is way in the lead, but some questions have arisen and I wanted to make some things clear for those who aren’t very familiar with kickstarters!

A kickstarter would not cost any more or less than a preorder to someone wanting to buy just the comic.

A preorder would offer the book at cover price (plus shipping), and the total of preorder money collected would go to just that, printing the books, and shipping them to you.

A kickstarter would have the same option. Often as the first tier: the first tier would be just the comic, at the same price (plus shipping) as it would be in the preorder... so essentially the first tier is just preorder.

On top of that though, a kickstarter has further options for those that want to and can support the print effort by throwing cash at it to get more books and other perks, so that it can take fewer people to meet the print cost goal. Also, if that goal is exceeded and further stretch goals are met, the book can get an upgrade... which means those that paid for just the book at the lowest level are going to get more value for their pledge.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the book+shirt option because I know good Feral shirts are always big hits, and it is well past time I had a new one offered. Having a design finalized before starting the kickstarter would help promote the whole thing. I have a few ideas I’m starting to sketch out now!

Well I hope that this makes things clearer. There’s no reason to fear a kickstarter. Each of the three poll options kind of includes the previous ones, so if you’re a “just the book” fan, that is there to choose from each.
