He was too outgoing with no social anxiety or nightmares or ptsd. I mean on one side it's good that he doesn't seem to have trauma but on other side it's weird that he doesn't. Is he just that much headstrong is what I had asked!?

Sinister Pleasure instead seems like a sanctuary for outcasts! Though it does not excuse what they do but these so called righteous families have no right to call them evil when they do worse things

2025-09-11 07:10:29 +0000 UTCI think that once you made your mind about Zhan Chulan you couldn’t enjoy the drama anymore, I hear your frustration and analysis, I understand, even though sometimes I defend him saying , “he didn’t do that or he didn’t say that, or of course he is not cultivating, he just entered the outsiders world, he is supposed to be a prodigy in the area, that’s the reason everyone wants him”, I still understand what you see, the actor is a good actor, I first saw him in “the prince of tennis “, a completely opposite, to Zhan Chulan, and saw him in “Back to the field” Chinese reality show, he was there for all seasons and I adore him, that is the reason I feel sad that you couldn’t enjoy this series, there are still good episodes with Wang Ye, so that’s good. I just wanted to share my opinion, I almost never do.

2025-09-11 07:05:20 +0000 UTCep 15: your frustrations with the show are so valid lol I rlly like Feng BaoBao and Wang Ye (+ the bromance) but when I watched it on my own I dropped it, cause at some point I was too much in a 'whatever-mood' to still enjoy the show after being frustrated & starting to fast-forward XD so I'm at least glad I'll finish it with your reactions & commentary, def makes it a better watch for me hehe :)

I always enjoy those, so I guess that might have been the moment the show really got me on my first watch through (apart from every time Hou Minghao is on screen...).

2025-07-01 07:51:16 +0000 UTCFor Hou Mingahao, I recommend watching Psychhunter! It's long and the pacing is weird in places, so I don't know if it would fit in your reactions, even if I would enjoy it. Hou MingHao is excellent in it. And the (b)romance is strong.

2025-06-19 13:16:47 +0000 UTCYes Qi apotheosis is a different spell/ technique pther than the Gold Brilliance spell and the lighting technique of the taoist sect. I think it was mentioned before that there are 8 supreme powers and one of them is Qi apotheosis which Chulan's grandfather either mastered or already had it in him and so the whole outsider world think chulan inherited that power. Another one is the one that Wang Ye (our Fangs of fortune lead) learned called Gate of Gale/Qimen Manipulation (your subtitles r using gate of gale).

2025-06-18 19:46:33 +0000 UTCI saw Zhang Lingyu actor, the one you said you recognise but can't place, the Link Click actor for the first time in the drama "In a class of her own"! And I think his actions show some envy in him for ZHang chulan. He probably thought he would inherit the Tianshidu that his master wants to test Chulan for to see if he is qualified to inherit it. If Chulan wasn't there I am sure Lingyu would have been the one to inherit tianshidu, whatever that is. So I sense a little bit of jealousy/envy from him coz suddenly someone who he never met and hasn't worked hard as a taoist gets to inherit the tianshidu. Everyone named Zhang are from Mount Longhu and Wang Ye is from Mount Wudang. They are two different sects in two different mountains. I am really excited about ep 4 reaction!

The Double, Who rules the world, Novoland:Pearl eclipse, Miss the dragon, love between fairy and devil, sword and fairy, the longest promise, love of the divine tree, story of the pearl girl and many more! Most dramas I watch and there is a young actor, it's him!! He has also acted in Immortality but never know if that series is ever gonna see the light of day! Japan needs to do what they did with Justice in the dark!

The old guy is the Xu Xiang, general manager of Lubei region and head of NDT Express. Xu San and Xu Si are his sons as far as I remember.

BaoBao is one of my favorite characters, I hope after the second episode you start to understand the series, the characters are more explained I think. We all love Wang Ye (Neo Hou) his character in this series is amazing and hilarious .

Now you had the second introduction to one of Hou Minghao's character's that included an umbrella. Just a very different vibe to Zhu Yan's first appearance at the bureau. Concerning Feng Baobao's anime run: This is adapted from a manhua, that was also made into a donghua. Imo it's a very good adaption, that would top some of these "best anime/donghua to live action adaption"-lists if more people knew about the source material and the cdrama.

Zhang chulan takes some time to grow on us but this is a comedy and sometimes even though I feel second hand embarassment watching him, that's kind of the character, comedic. Wang Ye (character name of Neo Hou who played Zhu Yan). I feel u missed a scene or more like you didn't notice what happened at the background during one of the scenes but I don't wanna talk about it coz that just might become a spoiler. I don't know if people are supposed to miss it so that later scenes become more shocking so I won't actually tell about it. Btw are you going to post this on Tuesday and Thursday?
