Sales tax.
Added 2020-06-02 00:50:33 +0000 UTCso beginning july 1st, patreon is required to collect sales tax on pledge benefits. It's by state/country, and really vague on what is taxable. it looks like the patron thank you sketch might be taxable, so we'll have to see what happens. it doesn't fall neatly into any of the categories and I am going to talk to patreon about it. so this is just a warning about a possibitlity of an extra % charge cumming up.

thanks Ernesto. Like I said it seems to fall between two categories of taxable... downloadable seems to be subject to a partial tax (who knew there were partial sales taxes?) and one time physical thank you gifts are exempt...
