Regarding distortion in the masks...

Hey friends!

Regarding the face masks/gaiters on Etsy:

It’s been a few days so this has worked through the system at the on-demand printing service (printful) that Etsy uses; there was a bug, you might say. The mock-up system they were using was way off, so the masks looked very different in reality than on the product pages. More specifically, the image over the face was stretched way out. Now since this was something I had been meticulous about when designing the artwork, I was very upset about it when I got my samples. I contacted printful about it and got a less than satisfying response, but I guess they soon got a lot more complaints because they soon “fixed” the problem with the mock ups previews, and this allowed creators to alter the artwork to work properly with the new mock ups. So, the current ones are what I intended and what you saw when purchasing then masks. Printful has offered to replace the old ones for customers who have “complained” about the discrepancy, so that’s ultimately what this is about. I know a lot of people are pleased with them the way they are, but if you bought one and would like it not so stretched out, please contact me to “complain” and I’ll get them

to send you a proper one. Honestly, I would just do a blanket re-issue order for all of them, but they do require photos showing the distortion.

I am glad they eventually made things right, but it felt pretty gross for a while. I felt like my most loyal fans and friends got burned, and that I had been promoting what was a flimsy print job by people who didn’t care instead of something I worked hard at and was proud of.

So again, if you got an order for a mask filled with an overly stretched out snout, leave me a message and we’ll work it out at no cost to you. As a guideline, the Feral mask should nose slightly bigger than a human’s (not 3 or 4 times larger) and the cheek fur goes to the ear. On the Cylon, the jaw line should line up with a person’s and not go way past the ear.

Thanks for your patronage!
