Old Man Picard
Added 2020-02-26 09:52:22 +0000 UTCI’m working up an essay, probably in comic form, on the Picard show. It’s... got some major problems. Those who know me well know I can be extremely forgiving with things I love, but there’s a lot here that has me yelling at the screen.
Have you been watching? What are your thoughts on it?

I like that the Romulans are getting fleshed out a lot. I have serious problems with the setting and premise, and I am (thankfully) finding that a lot of others do too. I don’t want to get too into that atm, but want to hear what others think.

2020-02-27 10:40:27 +0000 UTCI'm 3 eps in. I definitely think some of the dialogue is weak. It was awkward watching the actors force out some lines that had been written. However... It gives me a lot of life to see a relentless and reinvigorated Picard. There is something to the spirit of what Starfleet should be remaining found alive within these people. I also love that it's a new chapter after TNG/Voyager/DS9, exploring new ground with the Borg and Romulans.
