So basically Buck is based on a real person who has gotten away with murdering sex workers because of his status... and theirs, no doubt. I knew I wanted to write a story around it, but once I sat down to write I knew I had to save the victim immediately. This is a fantasy, after all. Then the rest took shape.
Want to read more on the case? It's made his wikipedia entry, so it's not slanderous to link here. The stated victim's friends and mother are continuing to pursue the case, and say that he wasn't the first. They never are.

For instance, can the ghost(s) follow him around when he's out and about, doing whatever it is that grants him status?
