So it looks like the problems with payments and declines and fees are the fault of pesky adult content creators. According to Patreon, if they hadn’t done a lot of shuffling around the globe with financial institutions, they’d probably have had to drop adult content creators altogether. As it is they’ve gotten pretty restrictive concerning them over the last few years, and that seems to be because of banks and Visa in particular that doesn’t allow anything illegal or immoral to happen in a 50 ft radius of any money that they have ever handled. Or, so Patreon says. They’ve gotten considerably less transparent lately, but they also say that’s because of non-disclosure clauses in agreements with these financial institutions. <br>I spent a good amount of time investigating alternatives today, but all of them take insanely higher cuts of the money... some between 40-60%. So I guess in the long run us lowlife perverts should be thankful that Patreon is working to continue serving our disgusting desires. <br>That didn’t stop them from updating their TOS so that we can be shut down at any time though. Oh, that means every page with a dick on it will be patrons only from now on. Sorry non-subscribers.
