I've been neck deep trying to meet a deadline with Velvet Collar #2, finishing the pencils for 36 pages in time to get paid for the next rent-due date. As a result I've been negligent here on my Patreon... so I thought the least I could do is toss an old rare story your way!
This is Drawing Flies, which was the 2nd of 2 short stories in Dogspunk Comix #1. This has the distinction of being the only story so far in the Feral universe that has no sex in it. It's the second appearance of Doug, and came out a few month after the 2nd issue of Hard to Swallow. That book had "the Monster in Me" in it, which introduced Doug... little did I know that he would go on to essentially star in the series--- I think because he's the most relatable character of the main trio.

That said, I'm going to pick a nit here: panel 2 would have been stronger if you'd put in a line describing the skater's body and the side of the metal scrap where he emerges from it. As it is, I didn't realize what was happening at first; it was the other character's dialogue that cued me to look again. Actually, it's fairly obvious as it is (as a second reading) but I tend to err on the side of clarity in my own work.
