I thought this was a great conversation to have in the book when I wrote the script. Once I started drawing it I realized how catty it sounds... hence the editor’s note/disclaimer, lol.

hopefully when read after the intended previous page it makes more sense: the lead up to this conversation happens on page 7, but in real life I drew that page over a month ago so I can see how it would seem disjointed. on a personal note, using the Ghost Skater as a character presents me with the need to validate him as a gay skateboarder and not just as a gay archetype, ie; I feel I need to draw him skating at least once a decade, lol. and here I decided to have some inside baseball talk about actual skateboarders that were influential on myself and other skating enthusiasts of a certain age
