Cahuenga tests
Added 2017-10-06 00:10:19 +0000 UTCHere's a handful of animations I was playing around with when conceiving Cahuenga. The story centers on mesmerism/hypnotism, and the effects in the last few videos in this group are experimentation with how I would get that across in an animation. A finished version would be more complex, I'm sure... and an over-the-top "peak" effect would be needed as well.
I don't know how I am going to tackle that in comic book form... whatever I do it will be a stand in for this here :)

Love love love these tests. There are some intricacies that I don't often see in animation of this style that really sell it, and elevate it. Can't wait to see more like this. Also, your mention of mesmerism is interesting. I'll talk to you about that later sometime.
