Added 2017-01-24 06:39:15 +0000 UTCWoo Hoo! I ended up getting a tattoo from our guest artist last weekend. One of the perks of being a tattoo artist is trading work with fellow artists. Aiden has a lovely cartoony style that I immediately fell in love with, and he was the 2nd person to ever come into my shop and recognize the Daimajin painting I did... so I got him to draw the character in his style. It resembles grumpy cat, and I just love it.
Anyway, I struggled with trying to recreate a different part of the Fort de Bicetre for this image from drawings of the layout, then thought better of it and used actual photographic reference of the main gate, which is the only part of the place that has a number of historical postcards made of it... well, they were just post cards when they were made. Now they are historic!
