Both show the fork in the canal/stream, but the one I ultimately discarded showed the group of Old Republic soldiers cutting across the marshy area to vector in on the other bank. I felt it too visually similar to the last 2 pages and thought a rear view closer in on our protagonist would prove to be more dramatic.
