Burial of the Rats pg 21

Merry xmas eve, me Droogies!

I'm not a christian, but I do believe in celebrating the holiday, just with the knowledge of it's pagan origins. The church purposely adopted the date and rituals of the winter holiday with the intent of folding the heathens into the flock, but we can remember it for what it was and undo their machinations, eh?

Also, we can tie the germanic pagan season of Yuletide  to Bram Stoker. The tale "Dracula's Guest " takes place on  Walpurgisnacht , another germanic pagan holiday.

I think I need a calendar of Pagan Holidays... (wasn't that an 80's band?).

"Chancey" vs. "Chauncey"...

Tom Q. noticed the name spelling change!

Yes, I have since beginning this story come to find that "Chancey" was the incorrect spelling. Also, there is an entry in the urban dictionary for "Chauncey"  that fits the character well. There's a number of alterations that I'll be making before printing this, including re-lettering and editing the text to flow better when read at one sitting.

Thanks for noticing, Tom!
