the Real Me pg.2
Added 2015-12-20 23:26:31 +0000 UTCI originally created "the Real Me" for the Bent Comix Sampler, which I also edited. The sampler was manga-sized and had 2 front-covers, so the book flips top to bottom halfway through. I did one of the covers as well, but I prefer the other cover, which was done by Brad Rader.
The Sampler was meant to be just that, to give a sample of the art and stories of each creator involved. Some used excerpts of stories they were working on, some used old 4 pagers, some used 4 single-pagers. I took the opportunity to do an original story mainly to play with my new wacom tablet. I'd painted the back cover of Hard to Swallow comics #4 and some magazine illustrations, but had yet do a full color comic story with it, and knew that this was going to be my chance to try it out fully.
