Haven't seen it yet, I really want to do a reaction to it but I just haven't had the time. But totally agree, Lan Zhan slaughtering trees because of his self-loathing was truly the best. As well as for me, Wei Ying's shock and indignation over having lost his first kiss, followed promptly by him telling Lan Zhan that he OBVIOUSLY has experience.

I really didn’t like the way the hero was whitewashed in the drama, he didn’t control, he didn’t want to, he’s not to blame, the people are to blame And in the novel, the hero's psyche has changed, difficult times with his brother, the war and his condition and new life. no one asked Wei Ying to attract more attention and make people afraid of you Namely, that this is his path, this is his choice of whom to defend, how to behave and dark forces have nothing to do with it, although the censorship of the drama would not allow the hero to remain canonical Thanks for your reaction!

Your reaction to the kiss scene was very similar to mine - it actually felt more like a physical effort to listen it through coz my heart was racing in my ears. After listening it a couple more times I could appreciate it more, lol. I think that Lan Zhan’s self-loathing took the cake for me, though. That poor boy is about to lose it for good. His confusion and disappointment for letting his self-control to slip so badly… Thank you for the reaction <3 Have you seen the official wangxian vid in YT, already? How’d you like it?
