I really took attention to detail too far with this ashcan, even doing each letter as a separate shape in Illustrator. I guess I had some things I had to work through! Within a few years I'd tire of comic book work requiring so much time in front of the computer screen and start working on ways to get back to ink on paper. Lettering is still something I struggle with. Penmanship has never been my strong suit and eventually I gave in and started digitally lettering.
