Modern Pony Trio
Added 2025-01-24 18:19:42 +0000 UTCSomehow, Laura Willow and Kathrin got so lost they ended up in Equestria, suggested by GoldenMode!
Again, this is way outside my typical wheelhouse. This one was also voted for during the stream, so I guess you guys must be on some kind of Hasbro kick, what with this and the Transformers suggestion in the same week. Ponies are a lot easier than mecha, but still not something I'm accustomed to drawing, so I hope I did alright!

You know how when an artist tries to draw something outside their usual style it usually comes out looking worse than someone who draws it regularly? Tom doesn't.

2025-06-13 08:29:16 +0000 UTCUnless we have Clovis as Bolas, then it would make sense to have Reni as Ugin, considering their battle in Reni's mindscape. Although that would leave Nora without a good representation in MTG, as I'm not sure there is a really other good character for her to inhabit. Although we might see something in the return to Tarkir that could fit, but I doubt it.
TheSoundOfWhiteNoise
2025-02-08 19:23:27 +0000 UTCNora as Nicol Bolas isn't just a banging choice, it's the obvious choice. She wouldn't make for a good Ugin, unless she was fighting against something that would be even worse than herself, both lore-wise and personality-wise. Reni would make for a terrible Ugin as she would have to want to cause harm to Bolas, so...

2025-01-25 14:54:13 +0000 UTCIt was actually starting to hit a stride by the end, so of course that's when they decided not to renew it.

2025-01-25 10:19:47 +0000 UTCIf we want to invoke more Hasbro properties, we can easily go to Magic: The Gathering. Planeswalkers in particular. Trace as Jace would be the obvious choice. Keith as Ajani would also be obvious. Although Keith as Garruk would be great too. Willow would definitely make for a good Kaya. And Nora as Bolas would be absolutely banging! Rose would also be amazing as Jaya Ballard
TheSoundOfWhiteNoise
2025-01-25 09:01:43 +0000 UTCI never considered how cute ponies would be in your style, there's definitely something that feels just the slightest bit unusual, but I think it's just that you gave them like 3% more realistic proportions than most artists do; It definitely doesn't look bad, it's just in that tiny range where you can tell something's different but you can't tell what it is.
Toilet Paper
2025-01-25 06:01:57 +0000 UTCProbably the fact that Willow's a wisp driving a pony, and the fact that Kat is one of the nicest people in the Twokinds universe, with the patience of at least 3.7 saints. Seriously, she gets mad ONCE in the entire comic so far, and it takes Eric being dense enough to block radiation.

LifeWulf
2025-01-24 21:26:51 +0000 UTCWillows mark is definitely her lantern and Kat's a heart shaped spot thats on her butt/hip in keirdan form. I don't think they are meant to tell us much about them as people but simply represent them well.
Allan Aldridge
2025-01-24 21:11:56 +0000 UTCI love the suspicious Lyra Heartstrings in the background, her pony-sense tingling, telling her there is something suspiciously human-like about these unfamiliar ponies.

But if we count all the other races, like the Thoraxian Changeling, that other Deer-like race who was mute for some reason, the Griffins, the Cats [MLP movies exclusively. His song is a bop, btw. 2025-01-24 20:06:36 +0000 UTCYeah, with dragons already being in MLP, Nora and Reni would barely need changing hehe. I don't think the others would be too difficult, it's a pretty pliable setting and art style.
