2024-08-25 03:16:58 +0000 UTCFur can actually help with the heat! Fur protects you from the sun (which is one of the reasons humans, with their upright posture, kept the hair on top of their heads). It can also, in some species, hold onto an insulating layer of air between the skin and the outside air. This is why camels have dense fur as opposed to being bald. But yes, if your fur isn't adapted for hot weather, it's going to hold unwanted heat in. Which definitely seems to be the case here.

I wouldnt want to sit or lay on a couch, cause it will insulate your heat...but then again...theres not the same effect with fur, but it can still insulate, even with natani and her long fur, but it would still be hot, especially with what we're having here in texas, the humidity is making things worse....

All told, this has actually been a remarkably mild and wet summer for us, but I still wouldn't recommend any Keidran vacation down here until at least October. Also, pardon my getting a little weird, but now I'm wondering if Keidran and Basitin can sweat; in our world dogs and cats can't, hence why they pant in hot weather, but there's certainly sweatdrops all over our favorite couple here. Oh gods... Between the normal sweat-based musks of the humanoid body and wet fur, the smell in that apartment must be unbearable. They'll certainly be Febreezing that couch for days after.
