Of course this leads to a Rabbit hole (Heh) of all sorts of Pseduo-Keidran offshoots. All sorts of small mammal rodent clans that from Rat to Marsupial...maybe even Squirrel clan(Where Nibley is from)? Perhaps its best to just keep it Vague.
