And yet because this is a modern fantasy AU the rent is probably still cheaper than anywhere in Austin, Texas. Seriously though, this is a charming apartment. I want to try and replicate it, either in Minecraft or House Flipper (only because I don't have The Sims 4). I also love the slowly increasing solidity of the Twokinds Modern AU. If not for it being so much work for Tom to get the main comic out once monthly I'd love to see an official spin-off. If nothing else Modern AU sketches should have their own tag by now.

don't blame me i just saw the instructions to build the darned thing and it was the most diffecult thing to build blame it on my boss engineer designer she sometimes wants looks over functions at times so me and my team had to redesign several times to work properly

Seeing the stairwell reminds me that there's probably other apartments both above and below theirs. Wonder if we'll ever get to meet the neighbors? While it hasn't been used recently because of obvious reasons, my apartment building has a common area where small holiday parties are held for residents and their friends/family as a way to help everyone get to know their neighbors. Would be cool to see something like that, with Kat and Willow mingling, Laura being an awkward wallflower until she runs into someone else that's hugely into gaming, and Nora creepin' on someone she thinks is cute.

Excellent work, Tom! I love the little environmental personality touches like Kat's room being neat and tidy and Laura's being a complete wreck. You even kept the layout of their rooms consistent from the first Modern AU sketches! Now THAT'S going the extra mile. XD Congrats, Moxolotl!

How has Laura been handling that, by the way?" Kat: "Well, she has terrible insomnia, she stays up all night on her computer playing games, her room is a constant mess, and she avoids large social gatherings like the mange." Flora: "So... Back to normal, then?" Kat: "Same old Laura. Though she has developed this odd tic where she starts compulsively tying knots in things whenever somebody mentions... Keith." Flora: "Oh. Uh... I'm sure that's fine." Kat: "Yeah, I figure she'll bring it up when she's ready."
