It's good to have friends in high places I imagine her time on the island was pretty lonely. Far from home, an unfamiliar culture that is very strict and insular. But, Nick did know who she was and why she was there, and I can definitely see them connecting through their pasts with Keith.

I feel like these two hit it off more than what was shown/realized because of their mutual connection (and feelings) for Keith.
