I lowkey like that characters like the creepy director aren't just standard one-dimensional evil creeps. He 100% is a rapey weirdo, but the way he acts feels like someone who knows that what he's doing is wrong so he tries to spin it around and act "reasonable". Its really manipulative. But I do feel like the manga is aware of this, but I do agree that its a bit weird with how Kana reacted afterwards.
